Entrance Exams & Eligibility Criteria for PG MedicalAug 16,2018

Entrance Exams have become an unavoidable touchstone for each educational aspirant to ensure that he / she is on the right milestone. Both UG and PG Medical Courses inescapably demand a viable scrutiny; an elemental test that can scrutinize the preparatory benchmarks of each aspirant willing to align his / her higher educational aspirations. The Eligibility Criteria for each PG Entrance Exam are usually the same.

The PG Medical courses are a set of clinical categories extendible with occasional subcategories. The other Entrance Exams for PG Medical Education in India are JIPMER PG, AIIMS PG and NEET MDS. All PG Exams follow the same pattern in General. The PG Courses mandate it for each student to acquire the minimum marks to fulfill the Eligibility Criteria.

    NEET PG Eligibility Criteria:

     

    • The candidate must have completed MBBS or any reputable equivalent courses such as Provisional MBBS from any Medical college or Institute recognized by the MCI.
    • It’s mandatory for the applicants to complete 1 year of Rotational Internship on or before 31st March 2019.
    • Candidates having pursued MBBS from Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Jammu and Kashmir (J and K) are not eligible for the All India 50% Quota (AIQ).
    • The candidates nominated by the Government of India (GOI) to pursue their MBBS from the erstwhile Medical Colleges may become eligible for 50% AIQ.

     

    AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria:

    Note: AIIMS is all set to hold AIIMS 2019 in January and in July.

    • Candidates willing to appear for the AIIMS PG must complete an MBBS or BDS from any Institute or College recognized by MCI.
    • A minimum aggregate of 55% is a must for the applicants belonging to general category.
    • Candidates belonging to the SC / ST Category must possess a minimum aggregate of 50%.
    • Physically Challenged candidates hailing from General and SC / ST categories are also required to secure the aggregates mandated for the respective categories.
    • 1 year of Rotational Internship is mandatory for all the applicants.

     

    JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria:

    • The candidate must have completed MBBS from a reputable institute / college recognized by the MCI.
    • It’s mandatory for the applicants to complete 1 year Rotational Internship on or before 31st December 2018.
    • It’s mandatory for the applicants belonging to General Category to secure a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in MBBS from any reputable college / institute recognized by MCI.
    • The Candidates belonging to SC / ST Category must secure a minimum of 50% as aggregate.
    • It’s mandatory for the Physically Handicapped candidates belonging to the General Category to secure 55%.
    • The Physically Handicapped candidates belonging to the SC / ST Category must secure a minimum of 50%.
