MBBS ADMISSION UNDER NRI QUOTA

NRI (Non-Resident Indian) candidate is a person who stayed outside India for more than and have not completed class 10+2/12th P.U. from any of the Indian colleges. MBBS Admission under NRI quota is for private medical colleges which are not run by the Government of India.

Who Can Apply for Medical Admission under NRI Quota


  • Candidate whose parents, either father or mother is an NRI.
  • Candidate who has no parents or close relatives and has been taken as a ward by some other NRI relative, such candidate is also considered for admission provided the guardian is declared as the guardian of the candidate by the court as per provisions in ‘The Guardian and Wards Act, 1890’.
  • Candidate whose sponsors are NRI

Who Can Apply for Medical Admission under NRI Quota


    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

    • NRI candidates must have completed class 10+2/12th P.U. from an Indian board (CBSE/ICSE) outside India and received accreditation from National Board, New Delhi.
    • The last two years of study must comprise of physics, chemistry, biology and English as the subjects of study
    • Candidate whose sponsors are NRI

    AGE

    NRI candidate must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the MBBS course.

MBBS ADMISSION PROCESS UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA


    DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED DURING ADMISSION

    • Application form duly filled in by the NRI candidate with recent photograph pasted and signed in space provided.
    • Certified copy (English translated) of educational marks sheets.
    • Class 10+2/12th certificate from association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
    • Copy of Passport and Visa.
    • Proof of NRI status of the candidate/parents/sponsors
    • Recent passport size photograph.
    • Birth certificate.
    • Prescribed application fee in the form of a bank draft/cashier’s check.
    • Registration certificate/Residential permit from local police/FRO.
    • Any other documents required by the Government of India from time to time.

    MBBS SEAT SELECTION PROCESS

    • It’s not mandatory for a candidate to be an Indian citizen to get admission under NRI Quota. Any foreigner who wants to pursue MBBS can get admission under NRI quota.
    • As per the directive of the Honorable Supreme Court of India, NRI quota should not exceed more than 15% of total management seats (25%).

MBBS ADMISSION FEE UNDER NRI QUOTA

The MBBS fee under NRI quota may vary from 80 lakhs to 1.5 crores at the discretion of the college.
