Introduction About the College

Kasturba Medical College Mangalore (KMC Mangalore) is a constituent college of Manipal University.  One of the top 5 deemed medical colleges in Karnataka recognized by MCI, Kasturba Medical College Mangalore offers both undergraduate – MBBS Course and postgraduate – MD , MS & Diploma Courses for medical aspirants. The infrastructural facilities are comparable to global standards with Air-Conditioned Lecture Halls fitted with modern Audio-Visual teaching aids, modern Digital Library, Auditorium, Examination Hall, Hostel, Sports & Recreation Facilities, etc. There is a teaching hospital attached to the medical college, the KMC Hospital, Attavar, with bed strength of 500 to provide the best practical training for the medical students.

 Admission to MBBS / MD / MS / Diploma course at KMC Mangalore takes place through KEA/NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test). Students who qualify in the medical entrance exam can secure a seat through merit or under management quota. NRI students must appear for NEET in order to secure direct admission under NRI quota.

Admission Process


  • The candidates must have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of the admission.
  • The candidates must have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & BIOLOGY as subjects of study and ENGLISH as one of the languages of study.
  • The candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group and 40% in the case of SC / ST / Category.


MU-OET Entrance Exam
