Introduction About the College

Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute Bangalore (BMC Bangalore) was started by Mysore Education Society. It’s one of the top government medical colleges in Karnataka recognized by MCI which offers undergraduate – MBBS Course as well as postgraduate – MD , MS & Diploma Courses for medical aspirants. This government medical college has well-designed and well-constructed infrastructure with all the essential amenities to provide the best learning environment for the medical students. The major facilities include Lecture Halls, Library, Laboratories, Auditorium, Examination Hall, Cultural Activities, Sports, Gymnasium, Hostel, Mess, etc. This medical college is associated with four teaching hospitals viz. Victoria Hospital, Vanivilas Hospital for Maternity &Child health, Minto Ophthalmic Hospital and Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital to provide practical training for the medical students.

Admission to MBBS / MD / MS / Diploma course at Bangalore Medical College (BMC Bangalore) takes place through KEA/NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test). Students who qualify in the medical entrance exam can secure a seat through merit.

Admission Process


  • The candidates must have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of the admission.
  • The candidates must have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & BIOLOGY as subjects of study and ENGLISH as one of the languages of study.
  • The candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in the PCB group and 40% in the case of SC / ST / Category.



The domicile students of Karnataka can seek MBBS admission in Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute through K-CET Entrance Exam. K-CET Admission Process


The Non-Karnataka candidates can seek MBBS admission in Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute through AIPMT entrance exam. AIPMT Admission Process

Note: Even Karnataka students can seek MBBS admission through AIPMT.
